Description:
Type BXA IECEx-ATEX approved nickel plated brass barrier fitting is designed for use also with a Sealtite liquid tight conduit for loose wires and non-braided cables (stripped) in a potentially explosive atmosphere. The barrier is formed by mixing a 2 component epoxy resin which is supplied standard with each individual fitting. Typical applications include motors, transformers, control equipment, Ex enclosures, terminal boxes and instruments, in the chemical and petrochemical, oil and gas, bulk handling, wood processing and food and pharma industries. In case a 45° or 90° solution is needed it is possible to use the IECEx-ATEX barrier Anaconda swivel adapter, type BXC , in combination with a normal nickel plated brass 45° or 90° Anaconda fitting.
Construction:
Nickel plated brass fitting, consisting of 5 parts (counter nut, clamping ring, ferrule, barrier container and body). Separately a 2 compound epoxy sealing will be supplied for creating the barrier
Material:
Counter nut, ferrule and barrier container are nickel plated brass, the ferrule is nickel plated brass and the clamping ring is from PTFE. Also available in stainless steel AISI-316. Fittings are fully RoHS compliant
