Description:
Type BXN IECEx-ATEX approved barrier cable-glands are used to secure loose wires and unarmoured cables (stripped) in Exd and Exe applications. The barrier is made by mixing a 2 component epoxy resin supplied standard with the gland and allowing it to cure. The cable gland is suitable for use as a connection between an Exd and Exe enclosure as well as on control equipment, terminal boxes, instruments and devices in the chemical and petrochemical-industry, oil and gas, food, pharma, bulk handling and wood processing industries.

Construction:
Nickel plated brass gland, consisting of 4 parts (backnut, pressure ring, barrier container and male body). Separately, a 2 component epoxy resin is supplied for creating the barrier.

Material:
Backnut, pressure ring and male body are nickel plated brass. The pressure ring is made from nickel plated brass. Also available in stainless steel AISI-316

-60 °C till +130 ºC
